Established in 2019, Mitbana (ミツ バナ) is a joint venture company of Japan’s Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) and Singapore’s Surbana Jurong (SJ). Mitbana was formed to champion urban development projects across ASEAN countries (Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, and the Philippines) and South Asian countries (Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and India). This partnership synergises MC’s financial experience in real estate investments and SJ’s technical capabilities in urban and infrastructure planning, with an aim of crowding-in urgently needed capital to catalyse urban developments across Asia.
